The Sanskrit language provides direct access to the wisdom of ancient sages of the East. For example the Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita were composed in Sanskrit. It is also noted for the power and quality of its sound and the comprehensive nature of its structure.       

This is the first term of a ten term foundation course. No previous knowledge of the language is required. The term will include 

  • Learning the alphabet and chanting the beautiful sound of Sanskrit. 
  • Writing the calligraphic script. 
  • Understanding the principles of its extraordinary structure. 
  • Practising with words and simple sentences.
