A new six-week online online course, starting Monday 16 June.  

Who cares for the Carers?

This course offers practical ways to help Carers, both paid and unpaid, to care for themselves as well as for others.

It offers ways to find rest, save energy, work more efficiently, and lead a happier life.

Our course objectives are to give support and encouragement, enabling Carers who face daily challenges not just to survive, but to thrive.

To help with this, each week we will introduce a practical tool. A summary of the content of each session will be made available.

The Tool Kit

Week 1 - An exercise in Mindfulness.

Week 2 – Acceptance – how to respond rather than just react.

Week 3 – Keep the mind on the job: the importance of giving attention.

Week 4 – Dealing with pressure. How to save energy. Pausing between activities. 

Week 5 – Using the right tool for the job.

Week 6 – Always think about what you can do, not what you cannot do.
