Come and join like-minded students from around the world for a residential week at Waterperry House in the Oxfordshire countryside - a beautiful setting with award-winning gardens, unique sculptures, paintings and fresco murals of the Advaita teaching.

What to expect
_______________________________________

Guided study
Whether you are completely new to the Sanskrit language or more advanced, plenty of assistance will be given to guide you through the full and detailed study notes on the text.
Varied approaches, such as chanting, reading, writing and exploring the grammatical rules will lead to a deepening sense of wonder and understanding of the richness and depth of the text. The focus will be towards quiet study, reflection and group discussion.
We ask you to bring your own writing implements, and additionally for UK students a Sanskrit-English dictionary and a calligraphy board if possible.

Work & Leisure
The house is cared for by the School in the spirit of 'Service with Love’, and for short periods during the day, all participants will be asked to share in its care by helping with the preparation of some meals or house cleaning. There will also be free time to rest or explore the gardens or optionally to join a variety of sessions such as Āyurveda, readings of His Holiness, chanting etc.

Meals
Delicious vegetarian food will be freshly cooked by a chef. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

Sleep
Accommodation is mostly in shared bedrooms/bathrooms on the Waterperry Estate. In the event of Waterperry House being full, twin bed accommodation may be provided in the nearby Ramada Welcome Hotel (10 minutes away by car with shared lifts).

We ask for UK students to bring their own bedding (a bottom sheet, duvet cover, pillowcases and towels) to save work in the laundry.  If this is not possible, there will be a charge of £22 for these items.
These items are provided free for overseas students.

In the evening smart/casual wear is usual to give a sense of occasion.
Please let us know if you have any special requirements and we will endeavour to accommodate them.
